Re: Need Help!
Just use avisynth if you're still having trouble with the mkv. Download ffmpegsource (you can find some threads that link to it and show you how to use it in the Video section of this forum) then import the video using that. Save it as a .avs and import that into Vdub, then save the avi. For me, at least, it's easier than using mkvtoolnix.
...and why is this still in General AMV and not General Video?

well not good at vdub neither, and I really have a crappy pc XD (still saving for the new one), Im actually using Sony vegas 9, as a Source I use .mov files and a program call total video converter, as taite told you before, you need the basics.
first is about source, you can´t have good quality if original file sucks, that´s the whole mess for vdub.
important tip, keep the resolution as as similar to original as possible, if you are going to change it, escale it to a smaller one, Do Not reduce frame per seconds, it will just result on a bigger "lag" on the video, the really important fact for quality is kbps, +kilobytes +quality.
as instructed .avi lagaryth, bring you the gretest quality and a file that can size a couple of gb, but without correct codec, only black image and sound.
I use . mov for working in vegas, few problems, except sometimes with masking, but it is vegas, yet it will size a lot too(and Im using a commercial converter). just discover it because a friend have a camera that record with that extension and other one with .avi, , i was curious and test it, avi get stucked, but .mov flows nicely, without even converting, and a lot of pages recommend to update quicktime version to troubleshoot some issues with vegas, it just ended kind of obvious.(don´t use mp4, it´s too compress, just suckingmemoryram)
on project I choose "preview", and end with a monster gb file, compress it with Zarx264Gui: http://amvhell.com/stuff/zarx264gui/
results?
mediafire.com vapq05j9m7l86r6
mediafire.com qzcveqa6aaaco4o
not the best, but good for a noob solution. and the mp4 is h264 and it isn a bad idea to upload it to boochsack, I recommend and mkv.
this is an example of how it looks uploaded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxg9gN7ayOI , but that test is a file changed from 848*480 to 1280*720 and audio sucks on the original file . another sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqBFG7S4jf8 ( one of those first test, )

now for Final Rendering (as I see that was the original question) I use Video For Windows(.avi), like this:ok so I changed it from HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps) to HD 1080-24p (1920x1080, 23.976 fps) and then the first time I render it was mainconcept AVC/AAC(*mp4) that was even more pixelated. and then I changed the render format to XDCAM EX (mp4) alot better still alittle pixelated but the file is 314 mb now =/
on project I choose "preview", and end with a monster gb file, compress it with Zarx264Gui: http://amvhell.com/stuff/zarx264gui/

Re: Need Help!
Thank you so much for the help I tried converting to .mov some scenes are some what pixelated but not as bad the original still looks better but I am so nitpicky about this its driving me insane. And idk why avi doesn't work on Sony Vegas like when put it in project media file it shows the audio but not the video on the tracks.
