It is, and I can confirm you can edit via it, but I didn't enjoy the experience. I went back to parallels. Boot camp is fail.

Oh really? I heard way more praise for bootcamps and not for parallels. Parallels is a virtual machine IRC. In my experience working with virtual machines was really annoying

For some reason, boot camp did not allow premiere to open my layered PSD files correctly. I am not sure why.

can't you not just run Linux on a Mac? Use Wine or something to get premiere working on it? Just skip OSX

I had a great idea on what to do with my new 1TB external drive:
I will format 75% in NTFS and 25% in HFS+. Two patitions and one is a drop box or small editing partition for Macs who don't have NTFS support
