Death Metal huh??? I like a little bit of it but I can't agree with the lyrics since they are fucked up but the music is good. I mostly listen to everything regardless of style (except any type of pop music and country and I don't like too much either) my main preferences are punk rock like Finch, Senses Fail, Anti Flag, Pennywise, AFI, The Used. I listen to Rap like Mobb Deep, Obie Trice, Eminem, DMX, Rakim, Kool G Rap and The Roots. I listen to rock bands like CKY(they're the best), TRUSTCompany, Papa Roach, Project Wyze, Nirvana, and The Offspring. I listen to metal like System of A Down, Fear Factory, Ill Nino, Metallica, and Pantera. I also listen to music from video games, I liked some of the music from games like Xenogears, Valkyrie Profile, Xenosaga, Legaia 2: Duel Saga and Wild Arms 3.

...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.

surf rock was always my favorite, the Mermen are my favortie band. I don't know why I like it, I guess I just have a soft spot in my heart for a guitar solo!

I used to be a metal fan but my taste has moved on, I dont really know what I like classifies as but mainly I like anything that is different from the previous music I listened to. Even though I really love a lot of stuff I can't stand to hear another band do the same thing.

Surf Rock owns. I used to be a huge fan of "Man, or Astroman?", The Red Elvises, They Came From Above, The Mermen, and some random others long ago.

If I had to give my favorite type of music, it would have to be noisecore/gabber/glitch. But then, on an equal level, I'm all for melodic, very thick music. So all in all, I'd settle for things like Venetian Snares, Susumu Hirasawa, or Múm.

I don't like any particular genre the most. My favorite band is 311, who are genreless, because they combine so much different stuff, but I also like some gothic metal and power metal. I also like instrumental stuff such as Apocalyptica and anime OST's. I just basically listen to stuff, and if I like it, I like it, regardless of genre, but there are genres that I don't bother listening too because I've never heard anything out of them I like. Those being country, rap, R&B, Hip Hop, and Teenybopper Pop.

My favorite type of music is the type that I like 8)

No seriously, I'm one of those people who says there isn't a genre of music that I can say that I like. I can listen to just about anything, but whether I like it or appriciate it or not is another question. I can't offer a blanket style of music and say I like it. For me, it all comes down to the artist.

Basically, anything that falls on the Rock Scale is okay with me. I like bands ranging anywhere from the Backdoor Boys to Iron Maiden, but Country, Classical, Jazz, etc. are all no-nos. The best music is found on the middle of the Rock scale, where Stan Bush and Pat Benatar reside.

classical and classical guitar are also running a close second.
