Anyboby have this problem too?

I just got the new CrazyTown album "Darkhorse", and on the back it lists only 11 tracks, but ther are 32 when I put it in my cd player and all but 2 of the tracks past track 11 are longer than 4 seconds. Strange isn't it? Maybe they were putting extra bonus stuff and accidentally tired to print it out as cda file instead of what file it's suppose to be. Track 32 appears to be a bonus track since it actually has audio( a song I mean). Aslo in the booklet that came in the cd case, on the very last page under where it says how to get to the bonus ConnecteD stuff there's something in white that says: LP/CD/MC LIMITED EDITION. Anybody know anything about this?

I have the cd too and mine has the same thing. It's kinda rare to do it, but some bands use that method to "hide" their "secret" songs on the album. I have a couple other cds that do it, but can't remember which. Good cd though isn't it?

Another CD that did this was a Marilon Manson album (don't know name, didn't buy it), it has 99 tracks of 1 sec. I think it is because they went crazy and added whatevr features they could fiind. I could be wrong though, it might have a purpose.
Also have you tried it in your computer it might have a rom feature.

On Korn's "Follow The Leader," the first 12 tracks are 5 seconds of silence. That way, there's a minute of silence before the album starts, and the first track is actually track 13. [Insert evil reference here]

Yeah, its a good cd. And yes, I had placed it in my pc prior to the posting of the topic, but it listed all the files as .cda files. kinda strange to have a bunch of 4 second long tracks of silence don't you think? I can't see exact;y what purpose they serve other than to raise the track count. Most cd that have a hidden song at the end have it sometime after the very last track finishes, but still on the same track(you know when you have 9 minute long track, but the actual song is only 3 minutes long). Some examples are Offspring: Americana, Orgy: Vapor Transmission, System of a Down: Toxicity, just to name a few that I have that do that. But this was just the first time I got a cd like this and was just wondering if I had stumbled on some secrect file or footage or whatnot But I still wonder about that Limited Edtion thing at the bottom of the credits page in the booklet......

the name of the manson track is Antichrist Superstar, and the 99th track is sort of a "hidden" track. Remixes of some of the distroted vocal lines used. etiher way, not too uncommon.

if you listen to the last track on that album and just let it play after bout 5 minitues it goes into a cheech and chong song and the blood hound gang :horray for boobies" also has the extra hidden track stuff

other albums that do this:
_Danzig 4_, Danzig: silent two-second tracks to a hidden track on tr99
_Satanica_, Behemoth: two or three secret electronic tracks in tracks ~11-99
_NeChrist_, Nokturnal Mortum: woodland noise from tracks 12-87 with a secret track on track 88

There was some noise in the online black metal scene a few years back about an Arcturus CD that employed some very nifty indexing tricks to hide a secret track *before* track 1. I'm not certain of the title, and I can't remember exactly the sequence of ops that had to be performed (know that it'd only work in a standalone CD player, not in a computer)...anyone ever hear of anything similar?
