If you want to be politically correct yes. If you want to be politically correct, every single person in the world is of equal value too.

The truth, harsh and uncaring as it may seem, is that neither of these statements is correct. Want an example?

You're given the choice: One of these two is going to die, which would you rather it be?

1. a mentally retarded homeless bum who has HIV and can't get meds
2. A top of her class attractive 14 year old girl who will change the world with her incredible musical talent.

Make your choice.

I like Linkin Park quite a bit. I just don't see any real ... soul ... in their music.

I agree with that.

Make your choice.

The girl. If the girl's 14 and is recognized as talented, the world's going to abuse and corrupt and utilize her and turn her into an empty money magnet. I'd be saving her from a world of hurt. And at least I could probably get an interesting (if not enlightening) conversation out of the bum.

Nickleback is a barricade to individuality...

It's barely music. It's a new kind of food. And in America, food doesn't need to be nutritious.

Corrected...Nickleback is everything that is wrong with the rock genre.

Nickelback are merely a symptom.

Root causes go deeper, largely conglomeration of radio, economies of scale and people's general love of generic rock they can listen to while pounding back MGD after a long week at a dead end job.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

I listen to bands like Radioheads music style and since i live here in the UK, i listen to more indie european music and bands that you folks in the US have most unlikey never heard of .

Bands like:
Hope of the states
Million dead
Idlewild
Loney, Dear
The Young knives
blah ,blah, blah...you get the picture.
