Who here writes their own music?

Postby Preyonfire » Tue Sep 18, 2007 9:04 pm

Just wondering who here:
* writes their own music.
* has used their music in a music video
* has seen their music used elsewhere
* used a friends (actual friends so no bullshit) song in an amv
* bla bla bla & so on

So link us up and tell us a bit about it...

Peace

I write my own bass lines, pretty jazzy/death metal/grungy styles, i adore doing it, I think I will use it in the future with an amv.

Yes, i meant an amv or live action music vid.

I'm working on some music myself at the moment, it's still in early stages so it's very experimental.

In the near future i'll make an amv or 2 with my music.
But until then....

I have done some electronic music. Sadly a recent failure on my hard disk (a ton of bad sectors) ravaged my studio files, and because I am a disorganized idiot sometimes I did not have backups for most of them. Several hundred of my best samples were killed, many of my master mixdowns for old songs, and much more. :(
But enough of my crying, here is a link to some of my music. I do mostly Drum & bass (jungle), so check it out. I plan on eventually composing an original song for use in an AMV once my editing skills improve. I don't claim to be a great composer, so lot's of my stuff will never see the light of day...

Well, music is kind of what I do. So far I've attempted one AMV and did both the editing and the music for it. I'll be starting to work on something new soon. I released a CD a couple months ago and I'm starting to work on a new one. *shrug* It's better than working at 711. :)

I write both music and lyrics. Rocck and metal mostly. To use it in an AMV? Hell, no. It'd be a waste of time and effort.

I write my own music. Mostly rock and some of its ridiculously long subdivisions (punk, hard rock, etc.). But I like to tip my toes into different musical waters like Rap, Metal, and even Ska (XD Ahh, ska...)

I've actually recently begun writing music that is anime/otaku parody kind of stuff. I haven't recorded anything yet unfortunately, but when I do, I'll be sure to post a link. I have, though, finished the lyrics to my first parody. (By the way, thanks Matt2east for the link to the workshop. I should get some good pointers out of that.)

I can play a multitude of instruments but I specialize in Percussion/Drums.
I can claim the title as being the first person on a-m-v.org to submit an AMV with the artist KJ-52 on it. Yay. Hahaha.
Where my jello? I need it to go with my Cola, Rice, Puddin, Steak, macoroni, apple, peanut butter, plastic, baking soda, and cheese sandwhich!

I write lyrics and sometimes a couple of mindmakermelodies for WoF, as seen in my sig; although I mostly just do the lyrics. :D
