Any rock songs about not giving up?

Postby missind33 » Mon Sep 10, 2007 5:04 pm

It's for an Action AMV (for some reason I keep on changing my mind about songs) It's for Peacemaker Kurogane. I am just so...lost when it comes to making an AMV, for some reason. Sorry I keep on posting like a billion threads oon a-m-v.org. lol.

You could try "Destined for Glory" by Hammerfall if you don't mind incredibly cheesy power metal.

Runes To My Memory - Amon Amarth

If you can handle death metal.

I mean, come on... "We came, under attack, I received a deadly wound, a spear was forced into my back, still I fought on", that's never giving up no matter what.

Gary Glitter - Rock and Roll, Part Two is a masterpiece ballad written in 1972. It is truly the culmination of rock songs about perseverance and overcoming life's treacherous obstacles. The lyrics are deeper than any wellspring of emotion generated by today's misogynic singers. You can listen to it hundreds of times, and always hear something new. I never quite figured out who the song is directed toward, but I can imagine it turned more than a few heads in its time. Even today, this song is recognized in the media for its sheer timelessness.

So if you want a truly inspiring song, I suggest you skip downloading this, and go out and buy the album Glitter without thinking twice.

Actually, Amon Amarth is more along the lines of melodic death metal with viking themes. Viking metal is generally considered by most to be black metal with viking themes.

looks like I messed up the quote, so I should also have my internet card revoked, along with my penis

but to keep this double post on track how about

Masterplan-Sail On
"We always have to sail on
Out of shadows to the light beyond
Never shut your weary eyes
But always try to see the line
Can you see it in your mind"

Iced Earth-A Charge To Keep
"And though many lives it will take,
To bring justice on the way
We must never falter,
We must never fail,
This is our Charge To Keep..."

and maybe even
Lost Horizon-Again Will The Fire Burn
"Yet free you always can be
And dreams like ravens return
Some minds like diamonds survive
Again will the fire burn"

though that is really up for interpretation

/end :x
