Debauchery covering Rammenstein's Weisses Fleisch

German Death Metal *beams* :o

I don't know who sings it, but I've heard a country/western cover of Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus.

That. Sucked.

More than likely, I think that was Johnny Cash. At least, I know that he did cover that one, along with Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage".

As for "Personal Jesus" covers, I feel that Gravity Kills did the best job of it I've heard so far.

Here's a list of the bottom 100 cover songs:

http://retrocrush.buzznet.com/archive2007/badcovers/index.html

Personally, the worst cover I've ever heard is Milton Berle doing "Yellow Submarine." An appropriate song for such a giant talent, a fellow who was every inch ["foot," shurely?!] the gentleman.

Most risible would have to be any of Shatner's covers. Brent Spiner of TNG also tried his hand at this sort of thing, but he could carry a tune better than Shatner. he also managed to talk Patrick Stewart and some other TNG stars to sing with him.

Telly Savalas is another that's pretty bad/funny. Among other songs, he covered "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" when he put out an album during the height of his "Kojak" stardom. The weird part is, he spoke the lyrics, not sung them.

Spiritual Front's cover of "Thank God I'm Pretty" by Emilie Autumn sounds a bit weird. But in a good way!

This deep southern band, Hayseed Dixie, did a complete cover of AC/DC's songs on cd. It's not really bad, it's just weird as all holy shit. My dad got this when visiting Virginia one weekend. Basically, think of all the guitar sounds replaced with banjos, I keed you not.

Yeah, they're all bluegrass covers of ACDC. They also did a Kiss tribute album, but I haven't heard it.

While we're on the subject of bluegrass, how can I not mention Fade to Bluegrass, an album of bluegrass Metallica covers. Classic. Some of them are actually okay.

I think the Shakira cover of Back in Black is pretty amusing (with her accent it sounds like Bach in Block), as well as this cover of Baby Got Back by Doctor Sparkles (high pitched voice and a ukulele), and if any of you ever saw Kit's birthday video, the techno version of Hava Nagila is just too much. I can barely resist laughing when I hear it.

This chick that covered "Nothing else matters" from Metallica. That´s like picking out a fan at a live concert and rapeing him on a stage.

It´s blasphemy! =/

I have no idea who the artist is unfortunately (I had this sent to me on IRC), but I heard this acoustic cover of 'Straight Outta Compton'. It's amusing, and pretty damn awesome (I don't htink I've ever heard an acoustic with that many swears), but it still bugs me.

Oh yeah. Tay Zonday's "Never Gonna Give You Up"
