End of Evangelion Music?

Postby electiveinsanity » Sat Jan 27, 2007 1:59 am

I need help... I'm trying to find out what the name of the piano jazz music used in the menu of the End of Evangelion DVD is. I've looked all over Google, but I can't find it. It's doesn't seem to be in the soundtrack, which is odd. Does anyone know what it's called?

Well, took a bit of searching, but I think I found it. Never heard it so I can't be sure. According to this site it's called Jesu Bleibet Meine Freude by Bach.[/url]

No, that's not it. I think that piece is played somewhere else in the movie. I looked at the next post in that thread and someone said it's called 'Air' in D Minor, by Bach, but I'm not sure if that's right either! I'm trying to find that somwhere. All I've found so far is a video of guy playing a piece of what he says is 'Air' in D Minor on his keyboard, but it doesn't sound like the music from the movie.

Maybe it's a modern rendition or something? Grrr... Why isn't it listed in the credits???

So I take it this isn't the menu you're talking about (though I suppose maybe that's obvious since you said it was a jazz piece). Sorry, I don't have this, so can't really help you out too well :?

Oh, you're right! I'm sorry, my bad! For some reason I remembered something else... This is the music I thought I remembered being in the menu:

That's a clip of Redeath. I thought I remembered that being in Evangelion somewhere. Is that just something completely irrelevant that was used only in a parody?

This music is original to Evangelion. It's on the original soundtrack under "Hedgehog's Dilemma."

Are you talking about the song that plays during the End of Eva title screen? The Ode to Joy with the baby crying? Or something else.
