Well, in my vastly underrated opinion...

To keep it as simple as possible, my favorites are:

Power Metal: Axenstar, Dragonforce, Kamelot, and Dream Evil
Black Metal Dimmu Borgir, Dead Silent Slumber, Tristania
Thrash Slayer (old/new), Megadeth (old/new), Ensiferum
Death Metal Sepultura, Bolt Thrower
"Other" Metal Kovenant, Mushroomhead, Murderdolls, Kreator

 ---> Nice and sensitive; the way I like it (sometimes).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Check our these tunes:

Dead Silent Slumber - "Raising the Suicide Chalice"
Dimmu Borgir - "In Death's Embrace"
Tristania - "Angellore
Axenstar - "Enchantment"
Dragonforce - "Through the Fire and the Flames"
Kamelot - "The Edge of Paradise"
Dream Evil - "The Prophecy"
Bolt Thrower - "Inside the Wire"
Kovenant - "Mirror's Paradise"
Kreator - "Violent Revolution"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 I don't type especially fast, so any responses to responses may lag a tad... (Ellipsises (...) are fun, aren't they?)

Rammstein sounds nice, yeah, for Nazi sympathists. Feuer Frei indeed...

Actually, quite the opposite. They hate it when people call them that, heh heh.

Perhaps I am mistaken; who else but them can say. I know no differently, so I must maintain my stance by default.

How can you get your own tastes wrong? You like what you like.

You're the one who said you were embarrased to say you listen to game music, right? Well so do I. Relax. Everyone on this forum is a weirdo so no one is going to judge you.

Clutch, Dream Theater (mainly Metropolis part 2) and American Head Charge.

And to whoever said Greenday: they aren't metal, at all, they're barely even punk anymore...

And Execrator: Ignorance is no excuse for biggotry, if you do not yet know better go and find out, if you know better and still intend to call them Nazis then whatever, but not knowing and not bothering to find out is worse than just being stupid, imho.

WELL...

We won't judge you for being weird or different. But we will judge you for having bad taste. But I don't feel inflamitory at the moment. So I'll just say, I haven't listened to kitty, and Korn and Slipknot pretty much suck.

See, even then, it wasn't a personal attack.

That's subjective. I feel an urge to burn people who say liking metal is bad taste, but unfortunately, I'm not pyrokinetic. I'll refrain from giving my oppinion on Korn and the like to avoid starting a flame war on this thread.

Thoughts on Symphony X? A friend of mine keeps nagging me to buy their album, but he's the only person I've ever heard talking about the band.
