MTV's the shop (reality show)

Postby Hitorihanso » Thu Mar 09, 2006 2:42 pm

Anyone gonna watch the shop? its a reality show based around a barbershop, might be funny especially if you liked the movie "barbershop" heh, personally im gonna watch it to see them cut hair and make fun of music videos thats kinda like beavis and butthead but in a reality setting. It should be an interesting show, p.diddy is supposed to make an appearence and so is fat joe who has been a favorite of mine for awhile.

The barbershop may be real, the barber themselves may be real, but everything else seems very fake (dialougue, commentary, etc). The interviews are rather brief. Most likely I'll watch if I can't find anything else to watch.

well its probably imrovised to an extent, personally it doesnt bother me if the whole shows scripted, its pretty funny stuff. and often pretty informative, it was cool hearing fat joe talk about how he got into hiphop, and his beatbox stuff was cool to hear about too, though beatboxing is really friggin silly imo.

All "reality" shows are scripted. This comes from somebody who worked on MTV's "Made". Made is scripted. American Idol is scripted. Everything is scripted.

I've talked to somebody who was on Made. He told me directly that it was scripted. He actually told MTV that if he had to follow a script, he wouldn't be working with them..they let him do his own thing.

What about the awesome reality show filmed in Dallas Texas known as Cheaters? No way in hell that could be scripted.

MTV's wack, but I watch it anyways... The Gauntlet 2, wether or not its real, its funny as hell.

Never seen gauntlet 2, I honestly dont watch that much tv, I just thought the shop looked cool because of the hiphop guests. I guess the scripted thing doesnt bother me though because most talk shows are its no biggy.
