I get a kick out of SOAD, myself. I don't listen to them on my own, but my ears aren't averse to them otherwise and they can do their shit quite well. Very distinctive, certainly energetic. Sometimes intelligent.

Their current albums are also creative, the only beef that people have with them is that System aren't really a band who change their sound that much, if they put out their current material back then, people would still have called them original...

system's style is almost always changing. their influence for lyrics and music never change, being the legendary armenian activists they are, but even within their individual songs, there are drastically different melodies, rhythms and riffs.

many of my friends, who were lovers of albums 'toxicity' and 'war', really dislike hypnotize and mezmerize. this alone clarfied in my mind that system styles do change. however, even if you don't like the newer stuff, musically it is far superior to any of their albums, by a long shot. the talent of all of the band members, though in particular darren the guitarist/backing vocalist, has improved noticably.

SOAD for the win :D

Because playing in 4/4 every song with the same political backlash bullshit is Godlike, right?

Yeah. Listen to better bands, thanks.
