Dreadnaught, some nice aussie metal, changed their style over the years and now their vocalist actually got singing lessons :P They sound more heavy/hair band like but still hold their own sound. A decent listen for something different.

KMFDM - "Hau Ruck"

Despite basically being a sequel to the "WWIII" album, as a whole it's much stronger, with no filler tracks.

The Birthday Massacre - "Violet" (extended LP version)

A re-release of the EP with some earlier tracks tacked on, by far the best goth band going right now.

Throwdown - "Vendetta"

The only 'hardcore' band I bother with, this CD simply beat the hell out of me. Won't stop me hitting the bottle, but I never claimed to be straight-edge.

honorable mention to NIN, Gorillaz, and a big WTF? to Fear Factory
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

I'm sad that no one said Mae - The Everglow or Sujfan Stevens - Illinois.

Illinoise was a good album...but....I think it's over-rated

Haven't heard Mae.

I forgot "Acendancy" from Trivium came out in '05. There's my vote. I've found nothing better, but RR United this year.
Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...

Kanye West - Late Registration
Eminem - Curtain Call (The Hits)
Music From And Inspired By GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN' The Motion Picture (50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, Olivia, Mobb Deep, M. O. P., and Ma$e)

Granted they recently came out, but they're still some of the best I've heard and quite addictive.
"If you're not cheating, you're not trying!" - R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero (1967 - 2005)
Through tragedy, she found triumph. R.I.P. Coretta Scott King (1927 - 2006)
Long live the "King of Pop"! R.I.P. Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009)
