Did anyone buy Scott Stapp's solo album?

Postby RamonesFan2020204 » Tue Nov 29, 2005 10:19 pm

I bought it yesterday, and I'm listening to it from start to finish. I'm on track 8 right now, which is called "Sublime". So far, I like tracks 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8. 5 out of 10 of the album's songs. This sounds like it's a solid album. And about Alter Bridge:I never bought their CD, and I never will, his former Creed band mates are useless without him. Alter Bridge is teh suck, and Scott's famous enough to make it on his own.

have you ever even heard Alterbridges cd? Mark Tremonti is an amazing guitar player with or without Stapps vocals. I actually prefer Alterbrige to Creed, dont get me wrong, I liked Stapps vocals but he has a throaty sound, Kennedy has a much more pure tone to his voice and he has a wider range.

I agree with you in that Stapp is famous enough to make his on his own, no doubt, but people are lining up just as much with Tremonti. Most people dont like either of them but Tremonti was just as much a part of Creeds success as Stapp was. The vocalist isnt always the most important part of the band.

I really like Alterbridge a LOT more than I did Creed, but Stapp's solo album is decent. If you were a Creed fan, I think you will like it.

Very true, but if you really want to hear his full abilities you really should try and find an instrumental track he recorded for Total Guitar magazine called "Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad" it's amazing, try and find it.

-5mins later-
Yea this is it, its fucking cool! Its heavy palm mutes then it goes into a solo and then some spanish-y like guitar and back to the solo?? Do I have the right thing? Cuz it says its #14 Alterbridge and uhh the cd only has 11 tracks so that part isnt right. But yea thats damn cool man, thanks.

Yeah, that's the one, it says it's track 14 on the album because for some reason Media Player seems to recognise the Total Guitar CD as being the Alter Bridge album (even though it was only released through the magazine) and it's track 14 on the CD...very strange, but yes, it sounds to me like you've found the right track, yeah.

maybe there are hidden tracks on the cd? I have the cd but I actually found it (and I KNOW this is gunna start shit) in the $1.99 bin cuz the sticker was under the plastic for whatever reason so I always wondered why there was a full cd in the 1.99 bin and the other full cds were like 25.99. But my track 11 is like 3-4 mins long, so there cant be anything hidden on it, I thought maybe the 25$ cd had a hidden track? Cuz WMP says its from the Find the Real cd... anyone help me out there? and there is a total guitar cd!?!

Oh and on topic:
I heard some of stapps solo stuff today, pretty good, what I heard was a little more melodic than the creed stuff. I would deem Creed heavy in comparison. but then again it was only one song I heard...

No:

It's track 14 on the Total Guitar CD, and for some bizarre reason WMP seems to think that the magazine CD is One Day Remains....which it isn't

Scott Stapp is a dick. I never liked Creed anyway.

For reasons why he is a dick, consult the article on MTV.com that documents him being a drunk fuck and starting a fight with 311. And I don't even like 311 much.

He was a drunk fuck at a concert one time and some people actually sued for their money back cuz he sucked, cuz he was hammered and slurring lyrics. Then there was the infamous cell phone incident...
