Personally, I love rock music and also listen to punk, metal and a bit of pop and dance music... 8-)
But I can't stand rap and similar kinds and usually don't listen to classical or country music...
Anyway it's puzzling that most people now listen to rap!! I admire those people who remained loyal to rock or metal...

Well, first of all i can't stand anything to do with country(sorry to those who like it  ) but other than that i like most everything else. Right now my favourite type of music is split between hip hop and nu-metal.

My favorite kind of music is techno. The beat of most techno just lets me imagine the lyrics I want to put in the song, so I don't have to listen to the regular lyrics of a song. (I don't know if that made sense but to me it did.)
Why do people complain about things? Why can't they just be happy that they were made for them?
I respect everyone's right to not like something, but complaining about it will acomplish nothing...

I guess you would call it nu-metal. I hate the term but everyone know it so hey. I'm into mostly nu-metal and some rock, I like a balance of screams/ groans and singing. My music varries from Shinedown to 40 Below Summer and Dry Kill Logic, Staind to Hatebreed and Mushroomhead.
And I also cant stand country, but its only because my mom cranks it when shes on the computer and in the car

Trying to describe the kind of music I like is difficult, since that music itself intentionally avoids labels by constantly and destructively breaking off into new or long-forgotten territory.

The generalized description would be 'avant-garde' - which in reality means precisely nothing. But any music with an avant-garde element in it is generally up my alley.

Otherwise, you my actual generic preferences within this frameless frame fall into categories like avant-rock, prog-rock, prog-metal, dada-rock, fusion-jazz, fusion-rock, stoner-rock, world-rock, psychedelic rock, progressive psy-trance/goa, alternative texturist pop and orchestral avant-garde. Aside from that, a limited selection of classical, renaissance and medieval music also reside in my collection; world folk music of various sorts can be there too, along with some plain old classic rock and metal.

Alles klar?

I admire people who can see the worth in all kinds of music, and I endeavor to be such a person.

But of course the only music I truly enjoy is GWAR.

I will pretty much listen to anything in any language. Except for most german songs (living there kinda ruined it for me i think :P ). Rock and, for some odd reason, SOME rap are my favs.

I like whatever you don't.

Or at least that's what most prog metal heads like to say. I prefer prog metal/rock and black metal.
