Trying to describe the
kind of music I like is difficult, since that music itself intentionally avoids labels by constantly and destructively breaking off into new or long-forgotten territory.
The generalized description would be
'avant-garde' - which in reality means precisely nothing. But any music with an avant-garde element in it is generally up my alley.
Otherwise, you my actual generic preferences within this frameless frame fall into categories like avant-rock, prog-rock, prog-metal, dada-rock, fusion-jazz, fusion-rock, stoner-rock, world-rock, psychedelic rock, progressive psy-trance/goa, alternative texturist pop and orchestral avant-garde. Aside from that, a limited selection of classical, renaissance and medieval music also reside in my collection; world folk music of various sorts can be there too, along with some plain old classic rock and metal.
Alles klar?
