One of the problems with this topic IS the Internet. A whole lot of historical trivia is out there just waiting to be Google'd.

OK, this may need a little research (I hope)....

Genre: Progressive rock
Category: Origins
Question: Name the band that was started by former members of King Crimson, ELP, and Yes (and maybe a few others).

This might be vague since most of these guys knew each other (for better or worse) and worked together on different projects. So, to narrow it down: the band's first album and single went straight to the top of the charts, but it was all downhill after that.

Ladies and gentlemen:

7. If you wish to ask tough challenging music questions, go right ahead.
8. Since this is A-M-V.org, feel free to ask any anime related music questions, if you wish. (Rules 1 - 6 aplly to this rule; see first post for rules 1 - 6).
9. (This is pretty a given) NO SPAM!

I believe Otohiko still has the floor.

Eck, sorry about that!

Since my internet access has been a little shaky lately... but I'll try.

Totally switching genre gears here...

Genre: Classical/Baroque
Question: Name the famous English composer of the late 17th century, whose works included many songs for the royal court, adaptations of Shakespeare's works, and a single opera.

***

Shouldn't be too hard.

Nope. Come on, Ludwig von Beethoven... English...
Or Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach for that matter.

And I don't know that many English composers, either. Handel comes to mind, but he was technically German-born, too...

Still time left for answer!

Yeah, I think you're right.

I didn't even read the whole question the first time, I'm an idiot. I just read famous Classical composer. I didn't read the rest; I had to go through some old notes.
