Porcupine Tree are certainly one of those bands that not only gets regular, but daily spinnage out of my massive collection.

the Sound of Muzak may be one of the greatest songs written ever.

Seriously.
I fear the little people.

Chicago is my favorite band ever. They have amazing versatility and musicianship, meaning they can play music ranging from ballads to funk to rock, switching between modes seamlessly. And they do it well. Good stuff indeed.
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

I just recently became a fan of them, but there style is so much like me.

Kamelot. I've heard their epica album and every song I liked. I really enjoy their music, and the singer isn't too bad. That's where I felt the band could be improved, but mostly they are my favorite band.

(Which is odd because normally I listen to techno...)
Why do people complain about things? Why can't they just be happy that they were made for them?
I respect everyone's right to not like something, but complaining about it will acomplish nothing...

It was just a guess, and he happened to be wrong, leave the poor man alone.

I think I already posted in this thread... but I can add that the Hold Steady are also my favorite band. (Previously mentioned was Beck)

it is terribly taxing to my mind to even think of trying to pick my favourite. so... i suppose i'll just list a few.

The Beatles, Cradle of Filth, LOVE, CCR, CSNY, Radiohead, Dead Kennedys, FrouFrou, The Dresden Dolls... and there are far too many more to list, sadly.
...oh, it's so Imageamazing here...

i'd like to add that those are in no particular order...

1. Rage Against the Machine

would definetly be number one, Morello's guitar and Rocha's lyrics come together in perfect harmony. Everytime i hear a rage i wanted jump up and down. I can't stand linkin park though, i find their singer irritating. they (and a lot of other bands) are considered hard rock but their leads are hard. the only band i like thats like that is incubus, but then again he can get pretty loud at times.

2. Nine Inch Nails
Trents a genius.

3. Prodigy
True Prodigies

4. Nirvana
5. Gorilllaz
6. KidneyThieves
7. Foo Fighters
8.A Perfect Circle
9. Metallica
10. Incubus

i like a lot more but those are the top ten...

As a huge Pink Floyd fan myself, could you elaborate and say why you like them more than any other band?

MK, please don't ask RF2020204 to ever elaborate, especially not about something you like. Chances are his reasoning will be offensive. As a Floyd fan myself, I dread hearing his reasoning.

I'm on an Opeth kick right now, and have been for a couple months. Nevermore was up there for a few weeks.

Pain of Salvation has risen fast on my favorites chart, and it's right behind Opeth right now. Before them it was probably Symphony X.

Okay then. I'll try and make this look good:

Back in 1999, my uncle brought over a box of some records. One of the records in it was "The Wall". It wasn't until September I decided to listen to "Comfortably Numb". At first, I thought the song was "so-so". Then a few months later, I was interested in the album, and decided to listen to bits and pieces of some of the other songs on there. I slowly got more and more interested in an album. Then I later found out that the album was telling a story, and that they even made a movie out of it, so I immediatley got interested right away. A while later, I was going through alot of rough times. "The Wall" was the soundtrack to that difficult time period for me. Roger Waters is a genius. The man is my idol. God bless him.

That wasn't offensive in the least :¬ P

Good Album, "The Wall". Definately one of the greatest rock albums ever.
