Recommend me some stuff...

Postby kthulhu » Sun Sep 08, 2002 2:51 am

Ok, I'm kind of tired with my current selection of (hard) music. I want to listen to something so cliched'ly poppy, dancy, and saccharine it'll make your eyes water. I'm not sure why, I just want to. This means non-serious techno J-Pop, Euro stuff, DDR type stuff, things like that. Here's an example off the DDR soundtrack if it helps:

Good luck, people!

Try out Robert Miles. He has some nice Dance music. "One and One" being a good dance track.

Or try some Newage. Most are very good to listen to after you drowned yourself in hard rock.

Or, listen to some Romantic soundtracks. Wait, the Lion King. Disney!

But don't forget to try out some Foreign music (not hard rock though). Native musics are pretty nice also.

the ayla remix part is really important, cause there are like 6 remixes of the song, and ayla is the best one by far!

Anything by Erasure. It'll suck the testosterone right out of your system. ;) It's only mid-speed, so it's not hyper hyper hyper, just very treacly-sweet.

I'd recommend "Blue Savannah" and "Run to the Sun".

Yup... Erasure's good.

Maybe try "Autobahn" by Kraftwerk. I love that song.

Download "Pipe Dreams" by Travis. Also, "The Other Side" by The Dismemberment Plan because they sound vaguely similar.

Try Royksopp. They're either Finnish or Icelandic, I forget. Fun, poppy, dancey electronic grooves.

I almost completely forgot about Royksopp. I think they're Norwegian. Which is part of the reason I got into them. I'm part Norwegian ('bout a quarter maybe) and they were the first Norwegian band I'd heard of. They're pretty good too. If you like them, check out some stuff of Brian Eno's, they were influenced by him and he's got some pretty good music, too.

BTW, Royksopp translates roughly (very roughly :) ) into "puff ball" . Just thought you'd like to know that.
