60 minute songs... makes me want to hear that KC improv again...

ERR...

Centrozoon vs. BPM&M - Over the Border.

Electronic weirdness of BPM&M vs Centrozoon's vocals and bass work ensue. And I'll be damned if P@ of BPM&M didn't shamelessly punk a Fripp solo for the later section. But, of course, I'm sure he did. Bloody insider

Eisley - I Wasn't Prepared

Check it out, they're all cousins and from Texas, and they're younger than I am (21), and write all their music. Shit's freaking awesome. Check out this song and Marvelous Things.

John MacLaughlin - Dark Prince

McLaughlin does fusion jazz at its' best, and I do enjoy his stuff quite a bit on occasion. It's hard to say that he's not in a league of his own, really. But as technically and expressively stellar as he is, his music is still far too light for me to properly relate to.

So, an enjoyable, no-pressure listen, but no cosmic journeys as I take with more structured or heavier stuff

Gentle Giant - Giant.

I mentioned the band before I think. Anyway, I incidentally stumbled on a page with some quality samples - get 'em if you want to hear the band I personally consider the most musically talented five-some that existed in the history of rock (whether you agree with that or not is up to you.)

and oh!

A similar page for KC! :D

King Crimson-21st Century Schizoid Man

Heh, classic. In keeping the tradition of actually explaining tracks... (and not just listing them)

The band's only real hit in the charts, and the first track of their first album. The beginning and the end may sound tired if you're well-listened in 70's hard rock like Black Sabbath, etc., but realize that this came out a year before Black Sabbath came around. It is, in essence, one of the ancestors of metal. And the middle part would prove farther ahead of its' time still...

Anyways, classic, classic.

KMFDM - World War III

this song is so sweet. and when i sent it to my b/f, he said: "this is the music that echoes in your loving voice." *sighs happily* it makes me feel all sappy and romantic

King Crimson - Mother Hold The Candle Steady While I Shave The Chicken's Lip

Alright, for once, I'll leave a track without explainations, and let you read into the title on your own. Yes, it sounds much like what you would imagine, except much weirder.

Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved

this song always makes my chest feel really tight... it makes me think of my b/f and how he acts when we're together:

It's not always rainbows and butterflies
It's compromise that moves us along
My heart is full and my door's always open
You can come anytime you want

*sigh*

Currently the soundtrack to Giant Robo - composed by Masamichi Amano, performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic.

If I had to pick the greatest anime soundtrack ever made, this one would be on my short list.

(And another month to wait before the first DVD is released.)

Martin Page, In The House of Stone and Light

Spiritual/poppy mood music, with an uplifting theme. Sounds like something along the lines of Enigma with a drumloop. Trying to slip into the mood for my next video, and hopefully cause some ideas to gravitate towards me...
