They're both wildly popular. And you shouldn't voice your opinion if all you have to say are bad things. It's not a discussion you HAVE to be a part of, if you have no interest in a thread, just don't post in it.

Not a hard concept. It's going to be sensless no good bashing that will get people banned at my forum as well. No one asked you directly what you thought.

Obviously some people DO like them, including your brother. Don't just turn people off before giving them a chance to form thier own opinion.

And Mike, I'm pretty sure they did release something on their own, I just don't know what it's called.

Because they're an underground punk band.

Their new album is getting them exposure on MTV and shit.

Have you heared of and New Found glory album before sticks and stones? Did you know The Young and the Hopeless isn't Good Charlottes first album?

Ocean avenue is mainstream, One For The Kids isn't.

However, Yellowcard is very much a HUGE icon on the underground scene, everyone of us have their first album. Since they have support from ALL of us, One For The Kids has sold more copies. However even tho it's a brand new album, Ocean Avenue is very popular because of the support from teeni boppers and shit from MTV.

Sticks and stones is like, NFG's 4 album if I'm not mistaken.

And I know GC too, and I don't like them. Knoing them personally I'm still completley comfortable calling them sell outs.

The All American Rejects are working their way to the title of sell out, but these are the only two punk bands I'd EVER think of using that term on.

Blink-182
A.F.I.
Green Day
Sum 41
New Found Glory
The Ataris

I would NEVER not in a million years call any of these bands sell outs. Just being big doens't make you a sell out.

Anyways, I'm ranting, and I'm off topic. Good charlotte just pisses me off a whole lot, this tends to happen when they get talked about.

Chef, listen to the e-card or your brothers Cd again. If you REMOTLEY like the song "Way Away" at all, you'd probably like Yellowcard's first full length "One For The Kids"

those bands arent sellouts, id never think that. their new stuff just sucks compared to their old stuff, OR there was never anything there to begin with.

and no. heard that song, dont like it. ill stick to rancid.

..wait, sum 41, THEY sold out, kinda, with that one song...still waiting i think is the title? grah

(by the way, half hour of power sucked too ;) :p)

how'd they sell out? because they made a video?

That song was about 9/11 and stuff.

And as some one who doens't like pop punk, and is a Rancid fan, I bet you LOVE Rancid's new album

it doens't matter if it wasn't creative or something.

Sell outs do things just to make money and don't care about the music. That wasn't Sum 41's intention at all.
