This tuesday (Oct. 7):

King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open (Double DVD)
well, ok, not really a CD, but an excellent musical release nonetheless - the group's first surround-sound production, featuring a show from the 2000 Heavy ConstruKction Europe tour and the 2003 Power to Believe tour from Japan. Great price, too, just about to order it...

Well, while we're on the topic of DVDs, Primus is releasing "Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People" on tuesday as well. Should be a good one, in my opinion. Also look for their first tour in quite a while, currently making the rounds in the western united states and working its way around.
Kawaita hitomi de dareka na itekure -The Real Folk Blues, Yoko Kanno
I like it! -Indiscipline, King Crimson
If you wanna touch the sky, you must be prepared to die, and I hate cough syrup don't you? -Cough Syrup, Butthole Surfers

I may get that for the dvd.

Just came out: Muse - Absolution. I have it waiting for me when I go home tomorrow for fall break. "Stockholm Syndrome". Mm-hmm.

A Peoples' History Of The Dismemberment Plan

Remix album. I listened to it on realplayer...it's a remix album, all right. I'll probably get it eventually, but it's not a high priority. The remix to "Superpowers" is great, though.

Well, I just heard all the songs on the new album and really the only one that sounds remotely cool is "Dreamweaver". The rest are slow ballads or symphonic epics.

not that i know of. all i know is the lyrics are "the most personal ones to ever come out of cuomo", so thats where "pinkerton pt II" came from.

by the way, i dont know when this came out but

PERMISSION TO LAND/THE DARKNESS
the darkness is the best band to come out in like 2 years. buy permission to land.

Actually, after giving the disc several spins, I have to say these Finnish Metal Masters have outdone themselves. ELEMENTS part 2 is a much stronger/heavier and overall coherent album than part 1. I also believe the theme of Air and Earth reflected in this album is definately felt in the song selection. "Dreamweaver" is just my favorite but the others are equally as impressive.
