I really like this artest right now.... He sounds grate and his music is nice sounding.... The song I like the most is
"Bigger than my Body" From the album" Heavier Things" (Kinda remindes me Of Ayato form Rahxepon)

This is a call to the colorblind
This is an IOU
Stranded behind a horizon line
Try to be something true

Yes, I'm grounded
Got my wings clipped
I'm surrounded by
All this pavement
Guess I'll circle
While I'm waiting
For my fuse to dry

Chorus:
Someday I'll fly
Someday I'll soar
Someday I'll be
Something much more
Cause I'm bigger than my body
Gives me credit for

Why is it not the time?
What is there more to learn?
I've shed this skin I've been tripping in
And I've never quite returned

Yes, I'm grounded
Got my wings clipped
I'm surrounded by
All this pavement
Guess I'll circle
While I'm waiting
For my fuse to dry

Chorus

Cause I'm bigger than my body now

Maybe I'll tangle in the power lines
And it might be over in a second's time
But I'll gladly go down in a flame
If the flame's what it takes to remember my name
To remember my name, oh

Yes, I'm grounded
Got my wings clipped
I'm surrounded by
All this pavement
Guess I'll circle
While I'm waiting
For my fuse to dry

Chorus

Cause I'm bigger than my body
Bigger than my body
Bigger than my body now

hmmm, that sounds very Kurt Cobain-esque. It's better to burn out then to fade away.

He's quite similar to Dave Matthews, vocally at least.

I'm not a huge fan, but there are a couple songs of his I like. And then there's "3x5". I hate the Room For Squares version, I hate the Any Given Thursday version, but there's this one bootleg acoustic version that I really, really love. It's because the beat in the first two versions is quite annoying; the acoustic version leaves you with just guitar and vocals. Beautiful stuff.

But then there's his stuff like "Your Body Is A Wonderland", which I hate.

For anyone who likes John Mayer, I recommend Ari Hest. Try "Consistency", "Aberdeen", and "When Everything Seems Wrong".

he sounds more like dispatch or jack johnson, i'm not a big fan though... i found 'your body is wonderland' kinda annoying, but i liked his first big radio hit, 'no such thing' more.

Don't know of Dispatch, but yeah, Jack Johnson is much closer to his sound. I was just reaching for a really well-known parallel. If you liked "No Such Thing", there's probably several more songs of his you'd like. And the other side of the coin: if you didn't like "Your Body Is A Wonderland", there's probably several other songs of his you'd hate with equal gusto.

There's some hot girls in his music video of "Heavier". Only song I partially cared for, maybe because it was the video.

your both dumb.

Him for attacking musical taste, and you for rolling your eyes at him :?

Anywho, for who ever asked what he sounds like. I doubt you know who Dashboard Confessional is if you don't know who Jon Mayer is, but Jon Mayer pretty much does what chris Carrabba did, but his voice sounds a lot like dave Mathews.

Dashboard Confessional....ugh.... EMO = barf.

Here's a joke while we're on the subject.

How many EMO kiddies does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

None, they just sit in the dark and cry.

you totaly fucked that joke up you slut.

It's how amny emo kids does it take to screw in a light bulb, and the answer is: None, they'd RATHER sit in the dark and cry about it.

You fucking hoe.

And emo is in the lyrics, not really the sound. I don't think i'd call John Mayer emo, even tho Dashboard definetly is.

hehe    try John Teshish DEFFINITELY NOT Kurt Kobain ;-p

though mild-toast did pull a very depressing way to interpret it (WHY! WHYYYYYYY!!??)... Ayato is the chick that died right??? Anyway my bro is lernin to play the acoustic guittar so he plays his *hit alot... I acturally like that Tori song he does and that one he does with that chick from the W95 disk (the one that was big on light rock radio stations). But that 'Your body is a Wonderland' song absolutely ENRAGES me.
