"WWIII" by KMFDM...

Postby kthulhu » Fri Sep 26, 2003 9:14 pm

...kicks fucking ass. It's overriding theme concerns post-9/11 American politics and actions, but it's still better, in my opinion, than "Attak", released last year (and was their first album, post-band recreation). "WWIII" is harder KMFDM (probably the hardest they've ever been), AND it has a lot of the good "old" KMFDM sound - two definite pluses.

"WWIII" is a great album, irregardless of your level of KMFDM appreciation or knowledge, and gets the official Kthulhu Seal Of Approval.

Too bad I can't get it until the 30th.

Fucking HMV.

You will buy it, bitch. You will buy it, and like it.

Or get a CD-R from the guy who DJs at the local college radio station.

I love the new KMFDM album, I agree Attak was a bit lack-luster. I wanted to get it on the 30th but like the CD stores where I live (KMFDM? Who are they?) they dont have it and probably wont have it.I have to order it off the internet. From what I hear (sound bites) it may just be the my savior for music for this year, this whole year has been full of crappy albums.

I picked up WWIII today. Its pretty good, but frankly its no where near the quality of earlier albums. I can't put my finger on it exactly, it just seems to be missing something important in the overall feel of the album. That said, its still far better then most of the stuff that is shoveled out by the music industry these days, and thus it gets a thumbs up in my book.
