Hi all! I'm new....

"Vincent" by Don Mclean.
I first heard it in school when a teacher played it to us.
She said loads of people had killed themselves after
listening to it.

That teacher was a bit odd........

Not sure if they've been mentioned or not but the sadest songs I can think of are "Adam's Song" by Blink182 and The Red Hot Chili Peppers "Other Side".

Kristoffer Åström - All Lovers Hell:

I'm not the first to sleep beside you in this bed
It's poisoned with some other idiotic I smell
And even though you tell me that your love for him is dead
I always keep preparing to go through all lovers' hell.

.... One of the very best artists I've ever heard.

moonlight shadow

Postby Ashura2002 » Tue Dec 10, 2002 9:44 pm

"No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin sounds sad in many parts. Especially the beginning. Close the door, put out the lights; no they won't be home tonight. Robert Plant's voice just sounds so sad in that song.

yes, a very cool song!
Also, i know this is wierd, but there's a DDR song called 'Moonlight Shadow" If you listen to the words, its very sad, but a kick @$$ song nontheless.

"The last that ever she saw him
carried away by a moonlight shadow
he past on worried and warning
carried away by a moonlight shadow

lost in the river last saturday night, far away on the other side
he was caught in the middle of a desparate fight and she couldn't find how to break through

The trees that wisper in the evening,
carried away by a moonlight shadow
sing a song of sorrow and grieving
carried away by a moonlight shadow

All she saw was the silouette of a gun
far away on the other side
he was shot 6 times by a man on the run
and she couldn't find how to break through

I stay
I pray
I'll see you in heaven
one day

Don't you mean Ain't Afraid to Die? :)

Yes, Ain't Afraid to Die is a very sad song. Infact, there is no Dir En Grey song that ends happily (as stated by Kyo himself).

The saddest song is probably (and will always be) Madonna - Frozen. I saw a video where EvilVegetto Z did a Samurai X Video on it .. and I shed to my tears ... because my day that time made me feel saddened ... but the video cheered me all up .. and made me cry :(

The saddest song I can think of is Pachelbel's Canon. Everytime I hear it I want to break down and sob. Another really sad song is Christofori's Dream, by David Lanz. It's piano, but very sad and sweet. Adam's Song by Blink 182 has never made me cry, but just the song alone can depress me.
