a little weird, now that I look back on my childhood, for every 20 years or so - a few songs actually sound good:

30's & 40's - Big Band Music . . . not very well constructed!
( but when updated and tightened, the 1957 TV show
"Perry Maison" had one hell of an opening theme song ) 8)

40's & 50's - not much music as everybody had picnic's with their New Car's
( yet Beverly HillBillies, Decon's Andy Griffith had a really nice
sound to it PLUS we got most of the Xmas Music that we hear today
from that time too ) 8)

it doesn't matter what generation you live in, or what style of music you like;
times change and so do the likes and dis-likes of what we hear on Radio, TV

Some of the older Rock and Roll groups are trying to get back together - phuey!
( treat it just like a bad-date or lost-money in a Casino; write it off and let it die )

Everything is subject to change - don't let yourself be the one who becomes old T_T

Yeah! These Kids today with the hair, and the clothes, <wheezy rhasping> it's disgusting, <shaking cane> you turn down that crap! I remember in my day, we had real music. Not like what we have today with the hair, and the clothes, and the music that's not real real.

sure

RamonesFan2020204 wrote:There are hardly any good rock bands today that are good (eg Sugar Ray HAHA, Blink 182 HAHAHAH, The Goo Goo Dolls HAHAHAHAHAHA, Pantera disbanded, some others), but alot of them suck. And there's this fucking stupid satanic rock (Marilyn Manson good lyricist, Slipknot their first album was good, but few people have heard it, Coal Chamber i like these guys, and girl, Tool major talent, Fear Factory listen to the melody, song writing and tightness of playing) that are waste of musical talent

i pity you

again i pity you

RamonesFan2020204 wrote:Now rock is just about depression and suicide and other crap wow not all bands are like this...amazing huh..angst is rampant in pop-punk, but it is minimal in other forms of music . We need some more old rock (AC/DC, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Foreigner, Whitesnake, Poison, Ratt, Winger, Stryper, Journey, Mr. Big, Night Ranger, Loverboy, Bachman Turner OverdriveJudas Priest, Iron Maiden, Sammy Hagar, The Cult, Yes, David Foster, etc its like bill and ted excellent adventure soundtrack =\), and less of this satanic/goth shit you lump music together that should not be lumped into the same catagory (Mansononly one of the matching type you mentioned, Tool, Slipknot, Coal Chamber, Fear Factory, etc.) So who agrees with me????

your musical preference is quite confusing to me

Just Because The Lead Singer Screams, Doesnt Mean Its Satanic. And How In The Good Name Of The Great Milenko Can You Think Tool Is Satanic? Jesus Christ...Oh, And Erm...Mister Motley Crue Fan, Four Words..

'Shout At The Devil'

Oh Wait, Two More..

'Helter Skelter'

Now Erm, Helter Skelter Was Charlie Mansons Theme There, And Erm..Motley Crue Covered It For That Reason Alone. Now Quit Backmasking Ideals With The Bands -Shakes His Head-

I agree with you, and I oughta punch el_farlo's face in for adding stuff to a post I made when he replied with a quote. But since I'm against violence, I'm not. And RavenBlaze, Helter Skelter was originally a Beatles tune, was it not?

Check out Underoath, LOTS of screaming, and they're a Christian band.

He'll have his fame, he'll have his footnote, but he won't have the timelessness of more genuine industrial artists and groups like KMFDM, Ministry, Front 242, or Pig. People in the future won't say "Oh, I was inspired by Marilyn Manson".

His ride is almost over, and he has contributed relatively little to truly stand out.

I hope his ride's almost over! I can't wait 'til that freak falls flat on his face.

How can it be sad that I like Motley Crue and Sugar Ray? There not doing anything bad to the music scene. It IS sad however that you think that FREAK Manson is a great lyricist. He's an evil person, ask my mom, she hates him too. My mom thinks I have good musical taste, because I like alot of different music, and I know what's good, and I stay away from that crap like Manson, Tool, Slipknot, etc. My mom said there was an interview with Paul McCartney once where he was asked WHAT KIND of music he liked, and he said "Good music", and I like "Good music" too. Manson, Fear Factory, Tool, NIN, and Slipknot and all the other bands like that aren't "Good music", they're "Bad music".

Also, did you ever hear that song by Limp Bizkit called "Hotdog"? That's a great song, because I hear Fred Durst is making fun of Trent Reznor in that song, and Fred Durst probably also knows how horrible those kinds of bands are.

Dude i just cant believe you actually said that SUGAR RAY and MOTLEY CRUE are "good bands" and that Tool a NIN! suck, it seems that your music sense is a little bit twisted. And please give us specific reasons of why do u think their music sucks, saying they're satanic is not a musical reason  .

How anyone can like bands like Manson, NIN and the other ones I mentioned that fall under their category is really sad.

Yes, give us some solid musical evidence. Or are you among those inquisitioner freaks that still believes that tritone is the devil in music?

Also, just to clarify - to Jace: hope I didn't come across as some Blink-182 hater. I don't hate the band, nor it's music - it just hardly peaks my musical interest or comes off as a stellar band technically. Granted, I can understand why people like it.

I can understand why people like dark music just the same. I don't listen to satanic music, but I do listen to rather gloomy stuff (and my gloomy stuff goes back well over 3 decades!), and I'm still yet to find a true musical reason why dark music is inferior to light music (actually, it's often the reverse).

I know Otohiko.

I was just saying for anyone that wants to use Blink-182 in their argument, don't bash them as this terribly crappy rock band, since they're not even rock. They're pop punk

I mean, I think Justin Timberlake is good, doesn't mean I listen to his music :?

I understand how it goes, I take no offense.
