I'm not paying to download shit =/

Lets see, pay for an album over the internet, and get a crappy CD-R copy, pay same price or maybe less at the store and get a REAL CD, with any enhanced material, jewel case, and CD book.

This whole thing with buying music is SOOOO retarded. NO smart eprson would pay to download their CDs. Yes, this implies you're stupid.

Buy your CDs at the store, get EVERYTHING. The book, the CD, enhanced material, and a ncie looking jewel case.

I tried buymusic on my XP box, I thought it was kinda shitty myself. And why buy when you can download, Anyway the quality is 128kbs (ugh!). I try to keep my music collection at 192kbs (VBR) myself. I heard a guy from Dolby Labs say that mp3 was designed to be used at 192kbs (VBR) and the lowering or raising from 96,128 or 256, 384 (384 being near cd quality I believe) is simply the stretching of its format. It was the Dolby engineer's impression that 192kbs (VBR) was the optimal rate.

I have not tried the iTunes music store yet but I have encoded some stuff in AAC/.m4a (Advanced Audio Coding/mpeg 4 audio) and it sounds a hell of a lot better than .wma but different from .mp3. It sounds like it has more thump than .mp3 but less treble. But I will have to listen to more aac to make a full determination.
