I know you were looking for sad songs sung by girls but Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles is pretty depressing... It's one of my favorite songs by them.. tho it might not be what you're looking for, it's a suggestion...
LEGATO AND HOTDOGS..

VASH AND DONUTS..

GIDEON AND CORNDOGS...

Heres a question for ya...

WHATS BETTER.. DOORKNOBS OR CORNDOGS?

P.S. sorry Gideon if you are mad.. couldn't help it.. ^__^

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Sparklehorse (with Thom Yorke of Radiohead) - Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd cover). It is impossible to listen to this song more than three times. Depressing to the n'th degree.

Are you sure it's not because Radiohead is sullen and repetitive?

Oh wait, so was Floyd. Silly me.

Try this: Edward Ka-Spel - Even Now

If it's female vocals you're going for, try something from Jack Off Jill or Scarling. Jessicka (the singer in both bands) is one unhappy girl.
