For an instrumental piece, try Slaughter's 'Prelude'. It is damn rare, so, go to my site if you want to listen to it.

"Eden" and "The Second Element", both by Sarah Brightman, can be considered sad and/or depressing.

"Sleep Through This" by Onesidezero. BTW, it's etc., not ect. The Latin is "et cetera." My Latin teacher in high school engrained that into my class, so much so that it actually pains me to see it spelt incorrectly.

close yet far by cky, steven by senses fail, not particularly slow but the first song i mentioned is like a ballad or something and the 2nd song i mentioned is about the singers friend or something dying by getting hit by a car, its like a tribute to him. its pretty good stuff.

well this song is super long (7 minutes and something) and it has both male and female vocals, but their seperated by a few minutes of music so you could just use the end of the song... Black Tape For A Blue Girl - As One Aflame Laid Bare By Desire

A lot of Sarah Brightman's "Dive" album can be pretty sad.

the only song I can think of in preticular is "Innocente" by Delerium.

For some reason, when I saw that picture, I thought of Jesus.

The only song that came to mind is Wandering Star by Portishead.
