Then by your definition, you are the provoker. You keep pestering him, just stop. You don't have to post about anything, just leave with dignity now. If you never want to grow up, then you should die. Everyone must grow up, even for a little while...

Provoker? Yeah, why not, I guess that's a fair label. I want to continue the debate. So I provoke him to do so.

I want to post. I like this debate and I want it to continue.

I don't consider that childish, so I don't think I need to grow up. And I don't see how I've lost any dignity.

Because the end result being "good" or "bad" is a matter of opinion and therefore cannot truly be inherently "good" or "bad".

Actually, that was my argument, you just supported him.

I was saying regardless of opinions, if a highly skilled band puts in good time towards composing a great album and it comes out to their ideals the way they wanted it to, and it's a musicly gifted album, then it's a good CD.

When being opinionated, one should approach their comments such as "I don't like it" as compared to "It's bad"

That was my argument, but it's a pointless argument. One I refuse to carry on with him anymore.

Right, the main problem seems to be that you are arguing whether it's technically good while he is arguing whether it's good in his opinion. Two completely different things. A rap album can be technically good... talented artist and what all... that doesn't mean I like it, because I don't like rap.

Technical goodness != opinion goodness.

yeah that's what I was saying, and I even used the same logic, but instead of Rap sued Justin Timberlake. I think he has a great CD.

But, he doesn't udnerstand. He wants me to try and prove to him that it's a good album, so the conversation is voer, and he keeps trying to push me back into a cycle of never ending arguing, simply because he doens't understand.

He won't see that Blink-182's album take Off, Your Pants, & Jacket is a good album, because he doens't like it.

And that's that.

It'd probably take me ripping the CD, and highlighting technical acheivments in composure and skill to convince him, which is why I backed down, the argument is stupid.

Yep.

But I disagree that TOYP&J is musically gifted. Am I wrong or is that my opinion?

If that means I'm wrong, prove it.

And because you haven't shown it to be, factually, a good album. Perhaps I don't see it because it isn't there to see.

Or perhaps because even if he IS a music major and COULD put together a complete list of what makes it technically good, such a feat would require far more time and effort than he's willing to give.

Well, in that case...

Creed's My Own Prison is vastly superior to TOYP&J. Fact.

Don't expect me to prove it, it's not worth the time. But it's true.

Superior, I don't think so at all.

All their stuff is very similar, while Blinks very from every single song.

However, I HATE CREED, to the ends of the earth, I can't stand their music.

But I will say their album is good. <--Fact

You don't have to associate opinion with fact. Creed has good albums, and I hate them, so what does that tell you?

How is it you got an entire page more out of me?

You've lost ALL and ANY respect I've ever had for you. you're showing yourself to be nothing more than a fool, by putting yourself on the same level as The Mad Hatter.

If you enjoy this type of shit so much, then why don't you go argue with him, you two will be very happy together, tell me how the children do.

*shrug*

Is there any relevant difference between

It is fact that TOYP&J is a better album than MOP, but I won't prove this

and

It is a fact that MOP is a better album than TOYP&J, but I won't prove this

?
