Anybody here make their own music?

Postby Lyrs » Tue Apr 01, 2003 1:26 pm

anybody?

By make, i mean mix or remix or make from scratch. I remix a couple of songs and edit them. I've tried making a few from scratch but i'm not the musical type.

You know what, I would love to know ow to make my own. I would probably do something like PPK: resrection or Headhunters, sun of the devil. then I could make some really cool AMV's. But, I don't know who to make them sadly, hich is a right pain. I don't have the money or equipment.

I hope to one day. But that's a few years off at the earliest.

I am SOOOOO close to making my own music!! :D

My main progra is going to be Sibelius 2...which is where I will write all of my songs, remix other (a.k.a. piano solo remix of Komm Susser Tod (Come Sweet Death) from the End of Eva) And full on symphonies, and all that good stuff. I can have 1000 violins harmoizing with a full brass set of horns and wood winds number in the 100's, and then add in a 100 person bell set...wow...now I'm geetting to excited, I think I wet my pants...

On to something else...I don't know all the other programs I will use yet...I going for one that I can do techno beat backrounds to, and then mix them together...I'll let anybody know what I use when I finally get them all :? Which should be soon...Setra gets down and prays...

I've done some remixing in the past, I made a full CD of songs called "The Ass Mix". Gave it a cool cover with a funny looking monkey with head phones on.

It was mostly change the pitch/frequency and adding different beats from other sources, but there were also a few songs with heavy chopping blending and mixing.

All done in Magix Music Maker. Magix fo life!

My brother is a professional DJ, so he does all the types of stuff you guys are intrested in.

I myself tho play drums, I want to start a punk band. (yes I know that sounds hopeless and you probably just invision me in some garage with a few crappy kids in a band that's going now where, but I'm rather skilled, and I plan on finding more skilled people)

The only thing that's kept me from making a band yet is I'll be home in California in a year, and I'm sure there are a lot more people out there that would fit the bill. Plus I really do hate it out here in Dallas, and I don't want to be known as a band from Texas. Anal and stupid on my own part I know, but meh.

My friend makes his own music. He changes it up from techno to very melodical songs. He makes pretty damn good stuff, we eventaully plan
to do a collaboration with his music for one of my amvs. He's working on getting his music on the net at the moment though.

Mmm, what type of tools do you need? I mean, I've just started into gettin' into them and I'm think of doing one myself (only about 1.30 long-ish.) and I would love to know what kind of stuff i need to make some funky music. ya dig?
