How about some Japanese traditional?

Postby Bushido Philosopher » Wed Feb 26, 2003 12:49 am

I've always liked traditional instruments from Japan (i.e. shamisen, koto, taiko, etc) and the music that the artists play there. And I'm not even an old person. :)

So I was thinking about possibly making a music video out of one of my favorites:

花の鳥 (translated The Bird of Flowers for those who don't read kanji or don't have the language filters) by Hayashi Eitetsu (林 英哲)

But of course a lot of people here may not be as enthusiastic as I am. So what would you think if I did this project?

I've thought about the same (except I'm not very knowledgeable on artists of this genre). I'd love to see this ^_^

...or maybe perhaps like contemporary.
Hiromitsu Agatsuma does a kick-ass job at this.

I'd like to see it. I would think Gasaraki would work well with traditional music.

Ghost has been known to use traditional instruments in the ir songs. First time I saw them, they used chants, gongs and bells for the first 10 minutes of their show. Then the ROCK started...
