I believe that effects have a place in a video. but it takes a very skilled hand to make effects work. Pre canned effects like transitions have been used properly but most of the time you will find that people just throw a ton of these things to try and hid the fact that they threw a buncha clips on...

I just added a audio gain to my audio clip.. because i wanted to volume to fade in with my video clip...


so they would match and stuff
