Plugins are good if people use them creatively, but if they just get over-whored by beginner editors then it usually ends up looking like crap, cause like pan_dbgt01said everyone's videos look the same xD and I think that effect is possible with spicemaster, not sure though since i don't use it ofte...

i'm not sure, but i think that might either be masked or they might have made that shape in photoshop & used it as a custom spicemaster shape. i'm not sure though, if you try that and it doesn't work maybe you can ask the person who made the video? x3

I think it's the Newblue FX roll transition, you can probably do it other ways but that's the easiest way to do it.

You know those characters that either look like another character, or have very similar personalities (or both)? Personally I quite like it so far, it reminds me of PaniPoni Dash a little and the animation looks a bit like moeblob Azumanga Daioh (my all-time favourite comedy anime). xD I wish I could shoot cake outta my forehead :3

If you don't have AE you can make them in photoshop, if you know how to do it it's really easy

Brightness/contrast. Make a keyframe, then make another one, adjust the levels to make it brighter, make another keyframe and adjust it back to normal... if that makes sense

The first episode of Azumanga Daioh has Yukari beating the crap out of a bicycle, and I forgot what episode but there's a scene in Kanon where Mai smashes up a construction site with a sword.

Black Rock Shooter has some weird gothic scenery in the parallel universe, not sure if it's what you're looking for but it's pretty cool.
