Re: The Happy Thread

This weekend I'm going home to visit my parents, and my little bro isn't coming with. I love hanging out with my family and all, but I have actually missed driving long distances alone. Sure, having someone with means you can have conversations and stuff, but there's something to be said for just t...

Re: A question for AMV contest coordinators (but others too)

I also am of the opinion that the showing at con is for the audience's entertainment. So no matter what I allow the best videos in. Last year I did make some changes in Youma's setup that cut down significantly on the number of awards given out to the same editor, by removing categories and going wi...

Re: Can't Rip Blurays?

I'll have to give makemkv a try. I already have a lifetime license for anydvd, but another simpler transcoder couldn't hurt especially for archiving purposes (the main reason I have anydvd beyond the occasional anime BD I rip for footage)

Can't Rip Blurays?

Yes it's possible. I only have a reader and I rip quite well. Dvdfab should work fine for that. However I also use anydvd on top of it.

Need more details to properly diagnose your issue.

So, about good media players...

FS has it right. I was having all kinds of codec and issues with mpchc (32 bit) until I clean installed my system. Now no issues at all. There could be some errant registry key somewhere causing these issues. Also, when you say MPC is it actually MPC or MPCHC? And as well, have you installed the lat...

Re: The Happy Thread

Well, within 48 hours of updating my resume (see my recent vent posts as to why) and putting it out there with some applications I've gotten quite a few interested parties in my skills in the area. I'm attempting to schedule a meeting with a recruiter tomorrow afternoon (ducking out early with permi...

Re: New to amv's and this site -_-

It's against the rules to discuss downloading anime for use in amvs. I suggest reading the guides on how to rip DVDs or blurays. Many of those techniques can be adapted for other uses. And honestly, any fan of anime should know how to download anime by now....

Re: What are you playing?

I decided to pop my copy of Chrono Trigger into my snes 2 and play through it again. I figured I wanted to restart my quest to get Ayla up to level 95 to get the gold fist. I still enjoy playing it on the snes more then the ps1 version. Those load times..... The biggest difference with this play thr...
