Re: Live Action Videos [Hear me out please]

Sorry to drag this up again, I only just saw the thread. Over the years there's been plenty of times when people in the AMV scene have made cool shit with things other than anime. Some of it is even on this site, sneakily hiding among the anime stuff. Some of the early music videos on this site have...

AMVs were the bane of isps offering "unlimited" download capacity back in 2001-2003. I distinctly remember getting a penguin hosting account which was all going fine until I released Shameless Rock Video and it totally hammered the servers until they ended my service :) I think MJ will pro...

Hey, I've got nothing to do with the missing Beaver. Last I heard he was still kicking out fan parodies. I know Scott Melzer is still doing that sort of thing too. Anyone seen Duane?

There's nothing stopping anyone from submitting a video, certainly. The shows that are currently open to all submissions are Nearly New, Premieres and the Challenge show. Unlike most anime cons, the shows aren't contests, they are just expositions. Nearly New is for videos made in the last year that...

This has been suggested before but unfortunately the md5 check happens after the video is confirmed which is when we copy it to the correct place and get all sorts of info from it.

Last time I enquired it was too much of a bitch to setup for checking beforehand.

Talk about old news...

I thought I'd add that any claimed newer versions are fakes and are not to be trusted (as some fake money making sites have appeared).

I know how to use Vegas I just needed good avs support before I'd ever consider making videos with it. However, there are things about the design of Vegas that I don't like and I'm going to have to weigh those against my issues with premiere 6 (lack of FILM support, poor motion settings, limited col...

Important development for people who cant usually use AVS

The VFAPI part of DGIndex has been updated to a) allow multiple instances and b) allow conversion of avs scripts (not just d2v files). See this thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=94184 This will allow you to make virtual avi files that will be able to play in ANY windows video editor. Th...
