Re: System Failure

I don't know, the original video is 16:9 anamorphic, but I had to use vegas default setteings to write the mp4 and keep it under 150 MB. For future reference, this is a poor way to encode your video -- you're much better off exporting the video from Vegas with a lossless codec like Lagarith or UTVi...

Re: Want Suggestions For Rarely Used Songs.

Is it really that difficult to find songs that haven't been used before? I mean, unless your music listening range encompasses only whatever happens to be popular on the radio at any given point, it shouldn't be hard at all to find a song that hasn't been edited with.

Re: System Failure

Isn't the aspect ratio wrong? It's weird to see it squished horizontally into a 4:3 aspect ratio... I think you might want to check your media player's settings, this video played back in 16:9 by default for me. Anyway, this was a great video. I liked the focus on mood and aesthetic; even though ly...

Re: AREA 52 /Fooly Cooly\

I liked it. Between this and Coping Mechanism your insistence on making FLCL into a widescreen anime is kinda weird though...the blurred side borders were really distracting and unnecessary. Still, it was a fun video, and you perfectly captured the weird/goofy/crazy of FLCL. I also liked the effects...

Re: (One Piece) My first AMV! Critiques requested!

Okay, well. If you're asking for me to be blunt. The first, most obvious thing about this video is the subtitles. It's basically kind of expected this day and age that you'd be able to make a video without using hardsubbed footage, but just so you know, it's never, ever, ever good to have subtitles ...

Re: I Couldn't Sleep Last Night

Okay, this was awesome. I love simple, emotional videos and this delivered in spades. I also love Madoka so that helped. But yeah, solid storytelling, excellent scene selection, great atmosphere and nothing but hard cuts and crossfades. I'm a fan

Re: Round 3 Videos [All Videos Available]

The (complete?) lack of anime from the 1980s in these videos is disappointing. The anime I used actually was an 80s anime, Zeta Gundam, which I feel like I kinda shot myself in the foot by choosing to use it. What? Why? I watched it and quite enjoyed it...out of the five I downloaded and just watch...

Re: Something entirely unexpected

HMMMM...may this have been inspired by this things ? :P I loved it. Usagi Drop is probably my favorite anime so I'm already predisposed to enjoying almost anything made using it, but even putting that aside this was really well-done, cute, enjoyable, all things good. It made me tear up a little. Gre...

Re: Abyss

It wasn't bad...some of the effects work was a little sloppy, mainly when it came to some of your rotoscoping. It had a cool, surreal vibe to it, but I think in general the sync could have been a little tighter and some of the effects could have been toned down. It's about par for the course as far ...

Re: Video of the Year

Reeeallly interested to see what's going to take Video of the Year. I know what I want to win (coincidentally, my own personal choice for VotY is a finalist), but I really have no idea how this will pan out.
