Re: Patrick Bohnet (Quu) Has Passed Away

I haven't posted here in a long time, since I started a PhD program five years ago and had to put AMV making on hold. What a terrible loss. My heart goes out to Patrick's family and the friends who knew him best. Even though I only knew him a little it was a privilege. Patrick was one of the most pa...

I'll be there as well. I've been kind of underwhelmed by the food at Carrabas so Cheesecake Factory would be fine.

Thanks! I'm retiring it now though. Working on new stuff for 07, hopefully will get more than two videos done per year. :-|

Congratulations to all the other winners! especially ngsilver and silver_moon....

Very enjoyable contest. I went to both showings and part of the overflow. A lot of good stuff. Illia's came out nicely (I had seen in beta), also Brad's (The World Moved On) and 'A City Divided'. I really want to know what that documentary footage is that was used. And Bob's Hello Kitty was a great ...

This was absolutely fantastic, my favorite video in all of Pro, and it should have been nominated for Best in Show. At first I thought it might be Janzki's due to the use of Vremya music. Eventually I figured it out though because so much of your love for the art of film comes through. Your use of e...

Quality issue here, The color of the picture and the resolution do not look so hot to me. I know that they are old animes, at least you could done more color correction. The other issue is the use of geometric shapes. Square, oval and circle are not that "organic". Unless you can do EUpho...

I'm just a little miffed about the aspect ratio. I have a widescreen monitor and would have appreciated if it wasn't letterboxed is all ;p. That was a necessary compromise. The original sources range from 4:3 to 16:9 and even some in between. So I 'normalized' everything to around 1.5 with a combin...

I'm sure everyone already knows that video was mine, The quality was crap in a few places with the effects, but in my defense it was the first amv, well first ANYTHING that I did using after effects. Never used AE before I made that video. Hopefully it won't be the last. Now that I know how to use ...
