Thanks for your help, that worked! I also read that you can use tools to extract the video stream from the MKV, but this way is easier for AMV work.

Oh I fully plan to, but it's not on DVD just yet. In the meantime I wanted to use the fansubs to at least plan out the video.

VirtualDubMod can't read MKVs

I'm trying to load some MKVs into VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 so I can separate the audio and video streams to use for editing. I'm told that the AVI included in the MKV was encoded in XviD. Anyway, whenever I try loading the MKV into VDubMod, one of two things happen depending on the particular file: 1)...

Thanks. I studied the lip-sync guide somewhat religiously and had to work out a few small technical issues, but I think it came out well. The AVTech guide was also really useful and I'm glad I read through them before I started editing. Friggin' interlace frames... There're still a few I couldn't ki...

At first I thought the hue changes and similar effects were overdone, but since it's a short video it works. That combined with the song just make the whole thing really catchy. Well done! :D

Mustang and Hughes: The Friendship Test

So I made a video for Full Metal Alchemist set to Tenacious D's "Friendship Test". Click here for the link . It's a lip sync video and I think it came out really well for my first AMV. I was already vaguely familiar with Premiere, so the biggest technical challenges were learning how to rip the DVD ...

Or in the future, as Scintilla points out, you can fiddle with the motion of the clip. In Premiere Pro (not sure about 6.5 and lower), things like scale and position are all in there, so you shouldn't have too much trouble dragging the 320x240 clip to a corner. I already tried that. The problem was...

I actually found a work-around for this. Since the video clip I wanted to put in only had three frames of animation, I made screencaps of each frame at 320x240, dropped that into Photoshop with the credits text, saved one BMP for each frame, dropped that into Premiere, and copy and pasted till it wo...

Ah, suck. Well, it's only for a short credits sequence, so I think I can live with it. Thanks for your help.

Premiere resizes video clips

I hope this is the right section to post this question. If not, I apologize. Likewise, I apologize if this question is asked often. Anyway, I made a video in Premiere at 640x480, and I'm trying to make a credits screen at the end. On this credits screen I have a 320x240 clip I want to have pl...
