You don't have to be an AMV editor, much like you don't have a film director to appreciate good movies, but watching crappy AMVs and understanding why they're crappy will help you to become a better editor.

Yes, for God's sake READ THE GUIDES. So few people wanting to get into this hobby do such a thing. Heck, I still find the guides to be an invaluable resource.

rockleefan, the best way to start is just learn how to rip DVD's and turn them into files that you can play with...don't worry about jackin around with the techie script-stuff until you think your a bit more advanced to take on that sort of stuff...breaking it down and trying one thing at a time is...
