Totally random: I rewatched End of Eva the other day, and I decided I needed to tell Ampsy that I'm impressed at his ability to do perfect lip sinc in a scene which originally had no dialog at all. Did you do that with photoshop? Either way, great job. I'm gonna try to start entering these contests ...

Round 10 was called "halfway done," so I'd guess 20.

Unfortunately, the guys who make it don't distribute it online, so it's basically an anime convention exclusive thing. However, you can usually find a working torrent for "ReDeath" if you search the internet.

For the record, I think AmPsi's entry was great, and I don't think the fact that he wasn't the first to make that connection takes anything away from the excellent execution of his video. Both versions make me laugh. Congrats to all the runners-up as well, all the videos made me chuckle.

Oh, I wasn't trying to appeal the descision or object to the judging, just commenting on what jumped out at me.

It's perhaps a coincidence, as weirder things have happened, but AmPsi's winning entry for round ten, the Planet of the Apes/End of Eva clip, is the exact same joke made at the end of Evangelion ReDeath. I'm not suggesting it's plagiarism, just noting that the scenes are similar enough that it might...

Yeah, I don't see why everybody's giving rasberrycoke such a hard time, I thought it was pretty clear he was just looking for some feedback, not questioning the results.
The non-winners compilation would be pretty interesting considering the amount of duplicate songs that'd be present...
