How to extract the Dialogue channel from a 5.1 surround DVD?

Hey guys, I am on a Mac and I need to find a way to rip the Dialogue audio channel from a 5.1 surround DVD! Anyone know how I go about this? If I have to do this on PC to obtain the file I will but I need a way ASAP! PLEASE :) Thank you!

Re: Compression...Encoding...& Converting questions...

Try using a PAR of 1 instead of NTSC Widescreen Also, you'll want to change field order to none (progressive) since your footage is progressive Ok just to make sure by you saying PAR of 1 that means PIXEL ASPECT RATIO of Square Pixels (1.0). You'll also probably want to change the Audio Sample Rate...

Re: Compression...Encoding...& Converting questions...

Select "Desktop" instead of whatever preset is selected at the moment (probably "NTSC DV" or something along those lines). Ok I had to go through one of the presets such as the one you just stated which is "DV - NTSC Widescreen 48khz" but than once I go to the general ...

Re: Compression...Encoding...& Converting questions...

Well, as far as filters are concerned, a few of them were thougt out specifically with anime in mind, like for example awarpsharp, but a fair deal of them will work well on live action too... you'll just have to pay attention to the settings. Generally speaking though, cpu=4 could be a bit too high...

Re: Compression...Encoding...& Converting questions...

You can still make the clips from virtualdub. Just import the avs scripts once you're done with the filtering and trim the clips that you need, you still have job control and everything. Or you could trim in avisynth and use virtualdub just to export. Tipically, you use zarxgui just for the final d...

Re: Compression...Encoding...& Converting questions...

You should use the AVTECH v3 instead of the zarxfag. It's somewhat more recent and insightful. Anyway, to edit the AVS scripts you can use AvsP now, which is a better solution than vdubmod's script editor. More on AvsP here . It also tells about avisynth, but you should remember about it. As for H....

Compression...Encoding...& Converting questions...

I still got ripping the DVD down so I must be starting off right :) I get very confused when I get t...

My man fuzz. That was awesome editing. Only complaint I have was the quality. Idno why but it was very dirty. You should have cleaned it up a bit. Ive seen better quality in Kenshin vids from you so Idno why. Anyway nice job ^_^.

Hey bud...I enjoyed the story a lot. Editing was basic but nicely done. I just wish you could have compressed it better. You could have compressed it to Xvid AVI file and only had it around 70-80 MB prolly (The video is 7 minutes long so I understand why the video file would be big). WMV compression...

This has to be one of my favorite Drama videos on the org. This video was awesome in telling a story. And SNH did a gret job on the editing. It was one of those videos that i couldnt stop watching and still do watch. You just gotta get this FLCL vid ^_^.
