Hello everyone. I know it's been a long time since you've heard from me, and that you're probably hoping I'd be here to say "it's done". Unfortunately, it's not done. I actually haven't made any significant progress on this project over the last three weeks, and do not believe that I'm going to have...

I think the idea of making "Instrumentality" a studio name is a great way to handle the "branding" aspect of all this, and to provide a tie-in opportunity for upcoming releases such as "ProjeKct Life". --- Since my last post I've: Completed the lip-sych script generation for the widescreen narrative...

Okay, since my last post I've: Taken care of about half o fthe remaining compositing for the widescreen narratives. Produced DVD quality .vob files for each of the AMV segments. These, by the way, look great. I had to convert everything to 29.97 progressive in order to get the encoder to not convert...

So far I've gotten a few important things done: - Finished consolodating and organizing all of the files/info/scripts I had scattered on a variety of backup media over the past few months. - Rendered the video segment for the 13'37" narrative. - Performed a successful test join of the Fullscreen sec...

Okay everyone - I'm back! I've finally finished finals, moved home, and settled in - and am now taking care of the final details of the project. I was set back a few days by some outdoor projects - preparing garden beds for rose bushes, sometimes in the rain - but am now back on track. I also found ...

Ah, just load them into VirtualDub and encode from there. You might have missed this page: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/xvid.html Actually, yes I did. Probably because I only skimmed through the guide in search of AVISynth info, rather than reading it properly (which I haven't done...

Actually, a little question for you, Helen... When I'm using AVISynth (plain AVISynth, not VirtualDub) to process video, I gather that I'm supposed to feed its output into either WMP for viewing or an encoder for encoding - but I haven't had too much success with guessing at how I'm supposed to do t...

I was serious about the spam... How anyone actually profits from the stuff mystifies me, yet it arrives reliably and in prodigious quantities. --- Anyhow, I now have all of the narrative audio, all of the video segments, most of the narrative video, and the opening credits. I still need to put toget...

Song:

I just checked my old Comcast account, and found the narrative (buried under 164 spam messages - hence my not using that e-mail any more).

Thanks.

A Capella: the Anti-Instrumentality  Priceless. --- AP Week - ah the memories... They're actually not that bad, once you've finished them. You'll want to spend the next week sleeping, but most people I know have also found that they're scores are better than they thought when they walked o...

If I may intrude with a suggestion: You might be better off with Four screens of video. A: It'll fit better in the one "real" screen on which this is displayed (unless you have some scheme for slicing the screen into five non-rectangular regions. B: 5.1 is still conceptually quadraphonic. The ".1" i...

Yes, there is, but you should be prepared to have some fun with making the alpha masks. If you can get away with a chroma key on the forground layer, then having a moving or non-moving background really shouldn't matter. If you can't get away with a simple chroma key (complex background, for example...

Actually, one more thing I should clarify: MS-MPEG4 is a family of relatively old MPEG4 codecs that (sort-of) implement the "Advanced Basic" profile (or whatever specific term is applied to nearly all of the MPEG4 you come into contact with) of MPEG4. Microsoft did create a format commonly associate...

You might want to clarify. Are you looking for a file in one of the MS-MPEG4 formats? They're easy enough to find, but I don't think there's some special search for them anywhere, so you'll just have to dig through AMVs and other stuff you've encoded/downloaded in search of something with one the MS...
