Re: Moving to the new server...

A-a-and... previews are still screwed. My question was silently ignored in previous thread, but I hope to get the answer here. So, as I was asked to do, doing it right here and right now - hereby I'm reminding you of this problem. Here, I've done it. So-o-o... bloody when? From my previous post: &q...

Re: Moving to the new server...

FTP uploads are back. Will work on web uploads next, but that'll be a few days (lack of time and all...) Also, video technical info (the stuff on the video download page that says the codec, bitrate, etc.) is being stored in a different format than before (for new uploads). So until someone updates ...

Re: Moving to the new server...

--private-users AFIACT only sets up what I was calling the trivial mapping: it maps 2^16 users as one block... Trying to figure out how to e.g., map 0-65535 to 2097152–2162687, except map 10,000 to 10,000. AFAICT, the raw kernel interface can do that (by setting three ranges).

Re: Moving to the new server...

Not really an ETA yet. I actually need to write up and ask a question on Unix Stack Exchange to see if anyone has any idea how to do something. (if anyone has any idea: basically, I'm trying to figure out how to set a non-trivial user id mapping in a systemd-nspawn container. It appears the kernel c...

Re: Moving to the new server...

About that ... I'm unable to download or even see the Hyperactive AMV of Miscellanious Brain Damage Suite by FoxJones for some time now (by some time means weeks)... http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=87995 Does it still occur on the new server (which is working as of a...

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Moving to the new server...

Tonight, I'm going to try to get the site moved over to the new server. I'm hoping not to leave the site *too* broken... but it has to happen tonight, because Phade doesn't want to pay for any more colo for the old servers—so going to be removing them tomorrow afternoon. The new web server, pointed ...

Beta: TLS (SSL) now available

We now have TLS/SSL/https support on the site. TLS protects the data being sent from your browser to and from the site from spying. To use, visit: https://www.animemusicvideos.org/ ("https" instead of "http"). Eventually we'll make this the default, but there are probably a lot o...

Re: Kero Server Is Back Up - Video Services are Restored

Should be back up now. I don't think any videos were corrupted, but I'll be running a full integrity check later today or tomorrow, and will restore any corrupted ones from backup.

Re: Site Down for Maintenance on 12/06/15 3AM EST (COMPLETED

Ooops—forgot to restart the video completion processing after the upgrade. It's started now, your video should be out of the completion queue.
