When I'm making them: the final product.

Overall for AMVs I watch- usually the music, followed by having an anime I like, followed by the concept.

Both.

But subtitles kill the mood as soon as they appear (unless they are relevant or placed there on purpose), while a plotless AMV may take longer for you to realize how pointless it is.

I have been WAY too busy at my job.

Plus I have not had the time or inspiration or resources to make any new AMVs.

I plan on entering one at the next con I attend.

Not about the org itself. But when people get nitpicky on my videos while giving others better ratings even if they are not as well made simply because they are not familiar with my not so popular sources.

Oh yes. I am not particularly harsh. Although I may be harsher if a video uses overdone music or anime. Or if I do not like either one- but I still gave a good rating to the Lain video I reviewed.

Anyone have any details as to whether there will be an AMV contest at Anime South? It has been discussed on their boards, but I do not see any materialization of it.

To express an idea or concept that has come up in your mind. To put a story together using music and scenes from an anime or video game. To use your creativity and technical knowledge for a good purpose.

It was too long. Like over 5 minutes. Cause I used the entire coda of the song. At least I did not repeat footage.

But in the second one I did. And it had subtitles.

And I have two ideas for AMVs floating inside my mind, but don't have enough footage for either.

And to add to the reasons why I cannot attend, I just found out I have a German TEST on Thursday night. Ja, der exam ist donnerstag nacht (dunno if I got the grammar completely right).

I wish we could have another Org meetup.

Glad my fave anime have few videos to them.

Anyhow, for ones that have more videos, I would first download the ones that have songs I like or feature characters I like.

For watching at cons- comedy, action, dance.

To make- romance, drama, sentimental. Most of the ones other people make in these genres are too sappy or feature couples or series or songs I dislike (prime example would be a Kenshin x Tomoe Samurai X video to a way too slow song).
