Re: Back in Gear

You have not told why you took a break in your work/hobby with video, but it seems that you usually keep a high tempo in your work. Then it might be wise to take it easy sometimes and gather new strength. A friend of mine is usually always full of ideas and has many different projects going at once...

Death Note - Heathens (COMEBACK VIDEO BOYS)

I'm back! :D Here's my latest video, I hope you all like it. It took forever making every scene match the lyrics perfectly, I think it worked out rather well :)

Re: I'm wondering about loose editing but perfect scenes.

Loose editing works best in upbeat videos and action, not so much in drama videos. :) Uhh...I guess this is all subjective but I 100% disagree with this statement. Upbeat and action videos benefit the most from tight sync, because they typically use beat-heavy songs. Ignoring that is going to make ...

Re: I'm wondering about loose editing but perfect scenes.

Don't forget, if a shot is too short or something like that, you can edit the shot in after effects and twixtor it to fit. That's actually what I did with that scene in the video you posted. IMO, 90℅ of my editing is loose, cuz most of the shows I've edited to I've never actually seen. (Most) now, d...

Re: WIP I want an opinion on 1:1

Do you have any kind of scene recommendations? This show has a ton of standing around and talking, and I'm saving the death note writing scenes for when the music picks up :)

Re: Some WIPS I want some opinions on 1:1 per video

you should consider uploading the videos to google drive so that people would be able to stream the files without needing to download each one I've considered that, but (Most) of these files except one ofem have been uploaded a while ago, and my upload speed is only about 0.05 mb/s... so reuploadin...

WIP I want an opinion on 1:1

Here's a video I've been working hard on the past three days, I'm curious to know what you might think. Uploaded to google drive as a recommendation.

Re: Back in Gear

nice! It seems that a lot of people are trying to bet back in the horse soon. I haven't been on hiatus really, but I only made 1 video last year, and I feel like I haven't given my all in a video since 2015 . So I decided to really start trying to finish a bunch of my serious projects this year. I ...

Re: The end of AMVs: a look back

Lucky you with a/b levers. I had 2 VCRs and a CD player.... I remember people that made videos with those equipments were like gods to me.. I used to work for a company that sold trinity systems, among other NLE systems. You're... pretty good! That is pretty sweet though. I've heard the horrors and...

Re: Yet another enthusiastic newbie

Hello peeps! I've finally decided to give AMV's a go after thinking about it for a decade surely. Now there seem to be about a hundred questions running around my head after these few days of researching and I hoped the people from a community like this could help me out so I can get started. I onl...

Re: Adobe After Effects/Premier Editing Mentor

Personally, for amv's, I find the Vegas is more intuitive and easier to use then premiere. On top of that, almost anything you can do in premiere you can do in vegas. Anything I can't do, I simply do it in after effects and export the AVI over to vegas. Just know, you don't edit an entire AMV in aft...
