It's not a problem, Trythil. If you hadn't done such great AMVs in Cinelerra, I would never have taken a serious look at that program!

AMVs In Linux Guide *HERE*

I submitted an AMVs in Linux guide in July, 2005, and never got a response. Therefore I've gone off and published it on my own webpage. Included are sections on CD and DVD ripping, a Cinelerra tutorial written in my own words, and encoding settings that should work for just about everyone. Check it ...

**VCR-EDITED** Akira - "Tourniquet," Marilyn Manso

I'll be releasing a few of my old AMVs over the next few weeks. The first is a VCR-edited one that I made in 1999. When making this, I did not have access to a state-of-the-art computer, professional-grade software, or even good AMVs to learn from. I did not own my own equipment or even my own copy ...

STILL no response to Linux AMV Guide.

On July 26th I submitted a (meticulously researched and edited) guide to making AMVs in Linux. On August 4th I started a thread about it. Well now it's October and OVER TWO MONTHS have passed since I sent the guide in. The guide has not been put up and none of the administrators have said anything a...

This is Dugan again.

Yes, Trythil and I are currently talking about doing another revision.

But I also hope that you'll find the current version to be already good enough to put in the Guides section.

Thank you, derobert. I used this as an opportunity to revise the guide. I've sent one copy of the revised version to you and another to admin@animemusicvideos.org. Hope you like it.

I've never used svn, but I'ved used cvs and I imagine svn to be similar. Why do you ask?

Linux AMV Guide submitted. No response!

On August 26th, I sent in a guide to making AMVs in Linux. I had spent an immense amount of time researching and writing it, with the intention that it would take the reader from a ripping collection of CD's and DVD's, all the way to encoding and uploading a completed AMV. Linux often offers more th...

There's also Atrus' FTP, which is a Waldo mirror. I don't know if Atrus will appreciate me giving out the login information, but you should have no trouble searching for it on the forums or the mailing list now that you know the name.

I haven't felt a need to keep up with the pop music scene, but now you got me curious. Which song is this?

Yes there is a difference between the rubberband crossfade and the cross-dissolve transition. The crossfade darkens the image while the cross-dissolve does not.

I watch anime with the sound off. That way I can fill in the soundtrack or score in my head.
