Re: Are My AMVs Even That Good? Or Am I Underestimating Myself?

Go for it. Also many of the editors who enter contests and stuff are pretty approachable and will help others to improve and grow, so even if you aren't so confident now, you'll quickly gain the skills and confidence and be ready next time.

Re: BARAKAMON - ON OUR WAY by Radical Face

Good Atmosphere/mood, but the effects could have used some work or just dropped. A few of them felt out of place, and while I love the double exposure effect if you're going to use it I think you need to really incorporate into the video as a way to enhance the atmosphere even more. With it showing ...

Re: Your Lie in April AMV - Never Quite Enough

Good job on using this anime in a way I haven't seen before. Not crazy about the video mainly because I don't care for the song, and despite the different subject matter it still has the same super melancholy atmosphere as pretty much every other YLIA video, but the storytelling and editing are bot...

Re: Vertical Limit

I liked the buildup and the video had pretty good atmosphere and energy. I like the framed box stuff you did at 1:04 and a few other places, but felt you could have utilized that effect a little more to really amp it up and drive the pacing and visuals home. Cool stuff though.

Re: 24 fps vs 30 fps in AMV's

23.976. I used to be in the 30 frame camp for the smoothness reasons, but you can get the same relative smoothness in the 24 rate and you avoid introducing stuttrry animation issues. Most animation follows the pattern of each still is usually 2 frames before a new one, creating a 2-2-2-2-2 pattern. ...

Re: I Am Stepping Down

Just a note here, since you're not the only who hints at this - Yue never mentioned going away, stopping organizing Roulette or helping new editors. She just won't be an admin anymore, but I suppose if she wants to continue her efforts around as a regular member (which I am under the impression she...

Re: I Am Stepping Down

RIP Org. I think overall its probably the most reasonable decision given the circumstances but still sad to see you go. I felt that your efforts were the only thing really keeping the Org active on the forums with things like Roulette and your general passion to engage new editors and actually bring...
