Should I use dvd decrypter before DGIndex and then avisynth?
I have read the ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's guide, but I found autogk online and I wasn't sure what it was doing.

My computer is a Windows system, I'm not sure if it would be different on your Mac.
I might be doing the ripping wrong -- I used dvd decrypter and AutoGK. Do you think that would cause the problem?

Yes, it was 4:3. I used avisynth. When I rip the DVD, it is 720 x 480.

I'm a noob at ripping DVDs, and I'm wondering how to get 16x9 ratio using AutoGK. Is anyone familiar with that program? Does anyone know how to do that in AutoGK? Thank you ^_^
