My very first anime was 'Repunzel' presented by Kid Vid productions (I think). I was 3-years-old. I guess that counts as being raised on anime, 'cause my family never rejected it (in fact, they encouraged it).

I've read some of your summary. If the Sci-Fi channel was into showing shows with homo-sexuality in it, than this would deffinitely be a Sci-Fi original series.
